New modules such as the Submerce Recipe Engine, JD Edwards Integration, Automated Invoice Exports, Target Builder and Customer Preferences and the Webmaster Change and Approval Tracker Tools will continue to offer our customers flexibility and scalability that helps create a sticky and informative websites.

“Our goal was to eliminate the need to do a daily “synchronization” as that just doesn’t make sense with wineries and wine merchants where CRM is critical to their overall sales success and customer experience”, says Jonathan Elliman, Submerce Chief Technology Officer. “Now you can have a customer buy online, schedule to pick it up at the store, receive their discounts and see their order history (eCommerce, Wine Club, Retail, etc) all online 24/7. If you think you have to own three different systems to manage your retail, wine club and online sales, you owe it to yourself to see Submerce in action since it does just that effortlessly.”

For the past two months, new and existing Submerce customers have already been using some of the features found in the next release of Submerce Total Solution through the pilot and beta release testing programs. “The feedback received on our Target Builder and Customer Preferences module has been very positive and has exceeded the expectations of the users”, continues Elliman. “We’re using the next few weeks to refine and incorporate the feedback from our pilot program and we’re anxious to roll the next version out in February as that’s when all of our hard work begins to pay off.”

There’s no doubt that the close relationship Submerce has with its clients continues to pay off in the long run and is a benefit to both parties. Submerce’s installations are touching more industries than ever before and are extending into traditional and specialty retailers across the country. Having a variety of clients and types of installations offers Submerce a glimpse into different business models, ways of thinking and levels of experience which is used to grow and improve Submerce across the entire platform.

“As our installation numbers continue to grow, our pool of industry knowledge is gaining a critical mass which allows our development team to convert those ideas into the next generation of the Submerce platform”, says Tim Holtermann, Submerce Senior Programmer. “We’ve achieved great success launching both wine merchants and wineries in less than 30 days which allows our customers to start generating sales almost immediately,” continues Holtermann. “We’ve got a wealth of project management and migration experience that allows us to consistently achieve these types of schedules.

Submerce v5 is scheduled to be released to the general public late-February and more details will be released in the coming weeks. Anyone who signs up today, will receive Submerce v5 as part of their initial installation. Submerce Adds Up Sell, Cross Sell and New Features to Submerce eCommerce, OMS and POS

Submerce announced today that they have added both Up Sell and Cross Sell capability to their Submerce eCommerce, Order Management System and Point of Sale systems, a feature that is unique to the web-based platform. Now administrators can program which products are featured as up sells and cross sells as well as product related items through all types of sales channels. Users of the Submerce Order Management System completing inbound sales calls can offer additional sales guidance if a product is out of stock or a customer is requesting a recommendation. This coupled with the latest product information enhancement to the OMS and POS offers a knowledgebase for customer service representatives not available previously.

“For companies that offer thousands of products, it’s almost impossible for CSRs to have in-depth knowledge in order to answer customer’s questions regarding products”, says Jonathan Elliman, Submerce Chief Technology Officer. “Now when a customer either asks for a recommendation or additional information about a product, it’s just a click away. These features are just one of the many advantages of having one software solution solve many headaches and redundant data entry since Submerce’s core principle is ‘create once, use many’. Once the up sell and cross sell logic has been configured, it’s immediately available across all sales channels; OMS, eCommerce and POS. That’s a huge time saver and helps reduce data entry mistakes when having to use multiple systems to manage what Submerce can achieve with one”, continues Elliman.
